Thank you for visiting our website. At McCann Technical School we are proud of the education we are able to provide our students. McCann students undertake a rigorous academic and vocational course of studies. Our students graduate with the benefits of outstanding technical skills, academic knowledge, and work habits. We know that our students have made a careful and thoughtful decision to attend McCann and our faculty respect that choice by striving to meet the needs of each individual student. We embrace the responsibility we have been given to educate our students and work diligently to continuously improve the quality of our education.
Whether you are a current or perspective student, or a parent of one, this website is designed to provide you with information about our school and provide links to important resources. We offer 9 secondary and 5 post-secondary vocational programs. Each of these programs, as well as our academic courses, extra-curricular activities, and a variety of other useful sources of information are highlighted in this site.
Our building is a carefully maintained and constantly updated facility. The technical programs and academic classrooms are up-to-date with the latest tools, machines, technology, and resources necessary to prepare our students for life after high school whether they are entering the workforce directly or going on to college.
I feel very fortunate and proud to be the Principal at such an excellent school. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing a first-rate education for our students. Through adhering to our philosophy of continuous improvement, it is my mission to ensure that McCann Technical School continues to offer the highest quality education to our students and to provide them with the support and direction they need to access the educational opportunities prepared for them. If there is anything I can do to help in this regard, or if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly.

One of the major components of my job as Assistant Principal is to deal with disciplinary issues involving the students and to work with parents and the faculty to resolve those issues. In addition to student discipline some of my goals as Assistant Principal are to work with students, parents, and faculty to establish a safe and exciting learning environment for all students at McCann. I wish to help the students strive for and achieve high academic and technical standards while helping them learn personal responsibility in order to prepare them for life after high school. I am committed to provide an environment where students can excel academically and socially so they can get the most out of their high school experience.

We recognize and value the importance of sharing information and responsibility with our students’ families, and not only welcome but need your involvement!
Daily, we strive to bring to our work and teach our students the school’s core values of Communication, Achievement, Respect, andEthics:
Communication strengthens partnership, development, and teamwork.

Ethics ensure a dedication to honesty and integrity.
“What can I expect from the guidance department? When should we start looking at colleges? How do we find out what scholarships are available? Who do we call about our child’s learning needs? What supports are available for a struggling student at McCann? Is my child being challenged enough, or should she be in AP math? Is it better to have a 504 Plan or an IEP when you go to college? What exactly is Title I, and who is eligible?” As you browse our website, you will find the answers for many of your questions, or something you see might generate new questions, or you may come up with ideas to share or a new direction to pursue. Whether you are a student (past, present, or future!), a parent/guardian, or a member of the community, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
