01:33PM / Thursday, February 16, 2012McCann Tech senior Mike Chappell has been a major reason why the Hornets have been able to rebound from an 0-5 start to stay in contention for the Tri-County League title.Chappell has helped McCann go 8-4 since then, including a 2-1 record in three games last week. Overall, Chappell is first on the team in scoring (10.5) and rebounding (7.4) and second in assists (3.4) and 3-pointers (11).

He started off the week, last Thursday, by scoring a season-high 20 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists in a 3-point win over Franklin Tech.  Monday, he scored 13 points with four boards and three assists in blowout win over Westfield Voc.  Chappell finished the week on Friday with 10 points and three rebounds as the Hornets dropped a tough road game to Pathfinder.
