Our collection is organized according to the Dewey Decimal System of classification and covers all areas of the technical and academic curriculum. Use the MassCat/Koha Library Catalog for easy access.
Books circulate for four weeks with three renewals allowed unless reserved by another patron. Reference books, magazines and audio-visual materials do not circulate to students.
Students are responsible for returning books by their due date. Students may view their circulation status and renew their books online by going to wmcct.masscat.org and logging into their account with firstname.lastname and the password: mccann
There are no fines for overdue books, but notices are sent to students during their vocational week. Upon receiving the final notice that their books are more than thirty days overdue, students have one week to resolve the issue or face office detention.
If a book has been lost or damaged beyond repair the student is responsible for the replacement cost of the book. They may choose to either pay or work off the cost of the book. See Mr. Moon for details.
Students may not bring in personal laptops. Internet access is available only on the networked library computers.
The library is equipped with 50 wireless laptops along with 4 desktops. Students are required to sign out laptops for their use during regular library hours.
E Portfolio is a program that will have students create a database with their best works throughout their time here at McCann that they will take with them when they graduate. This portfolio will feature contact information, best works, accomplishments, certifications & awards and also a resume.
The Westall Media Center participates in the resource sharing services of the Massachusetts Library System (MLS) and the MassCat union of school libraries.
Inquire at the circulation desk for the procedure for borrowing materials from other libraries through interlibrary loan.
Boston Public Library E-CARDS are virtual library cards that allow users immediate remote access to all of the Boston Public Library’s electronic resources, including magazine databases, downloadable audio, video, music and e-books. Anyone who lives or works in Massachusetts is eligible.

Digitization of these yearbooks was federally funded with a grant from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and administered by the Boston Public Library. The files are hosted by Internet Archive, a non-profit organization offering permanent access for researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format.
