After-School Exploratory Program Description
What:
This program provides an opportunity to explore our vocational programs in a hands-on manner to experience the advantages and benefits of a vocational education that is delivered with a traditional academic one. The demand for highly-skilled and technically prepared workers and graduates from vocational schools is increasing exponentially each year and McCann can help prepare your child whether they enter the workforce straight from high school or after attending college. The after-school program runs for three weeks in January with a fourth week set aside in case of weather cancellations. Bus transportation is available to McCann from your child’s school at the end of their day as well as transportation to various drop off points after the program each day. The dates of the program, bus schedules, links to register, and other important information, are enclosed.

Dress Code:
Due to the nature of the trade areas please wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, and closed-toed shoes for protection and safety.
Tool and Machine use:
McCann will provide excellent instruction and supervision throughout the program. However, it is mandatory that you consent to your child’s use of tools, machinery, and materials in order for him/her to participate in the program. Completing the online registration indicates agreement with the following statement:
“I hereby consent to the use of those tools, machines, and materials necessary for participation in the after school exploratory program at McCann Technical School.”
